About The Teen/Young Adult Program
The Program for the Education and Enrichment of Relational Skills (PEERS®) is an evidence-based social skills intervention for motivated teens and young adults to help them make friends and maintain friendships. During each 90-minute weekly group session, participants are taught essential communication skills and are given the opportunity to practice with peers. On the next day, parents/caregivers attend 60-minute sessions on Zoom and are taught how to assist their teens/young adults to expand their social network and to provide feedback through coaching and weekly homework assignments.

Who
PEERS® is for teens (ages 12 – 18), and young adults (ages 18-35) who have:
Any social pragmatic communication challenges
Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
Social anxiety
Parents/caregivers are required to attend a weekly Zoom session.

Sessions with preschooler/teen/young adult participants are 90 minutes IN-PERSON once weekly.
Sessions with parents/caregivers are 60 minutes VIA TELEHEALTH either from 11:30-12:30pm or 12:30-1:30pm the day after.

Regular in-person attendance by preschool/teen/young adult participants, as well as online attendance by parents/caregivers is required.
In-person sessions may pivot to telehealth sessions in cases of emergency/inclement weather. -

Teen/Young Adult groups are limited to 10 participants.
Preschool groups are limited to 6 participants.

We are private pay. We can provide you with a super bill upon request. Please check coverage with your insurance company. We do not guarantee insurance reimbursement.

TGIS @ Boston PEERS! are occasional Saturday get-togethers, where group members get the opportunity to hang out and chill with peers, play board games, listen to music, read magazines, and other fun activities.
