Love on the Spectrum and the PEERS® Curriculum

The PEERS® social skills program, developed at UCLA, has been prominently featured in The New York Times for its innovative approach to teaching dating and relationship skills to neurodiverse adults! This article underscores how PEERS® equips participants with practical tools for navigating romantic relationships, including initiating conversations, understanding social cues, and managing dating dynamics.

The curriculum also served as a reference point in the development of the hit Netflix series Love on the Spectrum, which showcases the dating experiences of individuals on the autism spectrum. This recognition reflects the growing influence of PEERS® in shaping both real-world interventions and broader cultural conversations around neurodiversity and connection.
